Williams, the suspect in Saturday’s Express Cash Advance robbery in Jefferson, was arraigned Monday afternoon in Eastern County Court. Williams, 24, of Bedford, appeared before Judge Robert Wynn on two charges of felonious assault, robbery, and failure to comply with order or signal of a police officer. He was also charged with operating a vehicle without reasonable control, driving under Financial Responsibility Act suspension, improper display of license plates, reckless operation of a vehicle and a seatbelt violation. Williams led three law enforcement agencies on a high speed chase through Ashtabula County, Saturday, after walking into Express Cash Advance at 55 E. The pursuit started in Jefferson and ended in Kingsville after Williams lost control of his vehicle and collided with an Ashtabula County Sheriff’s Department cruiser on South Ridge Road, according to reports.
