I think those kind of places require you to show payroll check stubs, and if you don’t have any recent ones to show, you’re out of luck.

Don’t get a cash advance - the annual effective interest rate is a couple of hundred percent - it is legal, but certainly not ethical.

Check with your local church or charity to see if you can get some donated diapers - try freecycle in your area, just to get you through.

The car is something else - see if you can hitch a ride with another employee - remember, cars depreciate, it will be worth less as soon as you drive it off the lot - and the last thing you need is debt on something worth less than what you owe on it.

Do you have any credit rating at all? If you have a credit rating you can get credit cards. You can buy a car for nothing down.

If you do not have any credit, you are in trouble.

Contact your bank to see if you qualify for a line of credit. Usually if you have a house, you can get a secure line of credit. If you don’t have a house, and have a decent credit history, you could probably get an unsecured line of credit. The interest would be Prime + 1-3% on avg.

Using credit cards is bad advice, given the interest rates can be anywhere up to 28%!!!

STAY AWAY FROM THE QUICK-CASH JOINTS!!!

I recommend you go see a local church or shelter for some assistance. They will gladly help you in your time of need!

Talk to your friends and family to see if they can front you the money. Stay away from credit card cash advances and payday loan joints.

    Good Luck!

Its a little weird but it can’t hurt to ask. It may make you look bad too…how do you want to look to your employers. But if you worked there before your leave then go ahead and ask. You have established that good repore.
