WASHINGTON — The Democratic money race accelerated dramatically Thursday as rivals Hillary Rodham Clinton and Barack Obama reported massive outpourings of cash in advance of four more contests this weekend. The flood of money came a day after Clinton disclosed making a $5 million personal loan to her campaign in late January. Obama has raised more money than Clinton from small donors who can be tapped again. Clinton started running TV ads on Thursday in Nebraska, Washington and Maine, and next week will advertise in Ohio and Texas, which hold primaries March 4. Obama aides declined to talk about upcoming advertising, but his ads have been on TV in Virginia, Louisiana, Washington, Maryland and the District of Columbia. read more
